Sinnott School is a non-profit computer training school located in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The school opened in 1985 with the mission to provide free education to the unemployed and economically disadvantaged members of our community, and cost-effective computer training to individuals and corporations throughout New England. Sinnott School is more than a business. It is a unique marriage of private enterprise with social concern, of meticulous professionalism with personal mentoring, and of the search for excellence with the pursuit of self-fulfillment. We are comprised of many hard-working staff members and students. Since opening in 1985, Sinnott School has enhanced the careers, and in many cases changed the lives, of thousands of individuals. The success of our graduates is a testament of Sinnott School’s unique and positive environment. Among our achievements: • Selected by an estimated 2,000 private companies to train over 100,000 of their employees over the past twenty years,
• Achieved a placement rate of over ninety percent for graduates of our Employment and Training programs,
• Initiated a scholarship program enabling non-college bound graduates of area high schools to attend Sinnott School,
• Implemented an internship program to partner more than 250 students with nearly 50 area businesses.
Many of our graduates utilize Sinnott School as a stepping stone into exciting careers. After securing a career, many have also continued on with their education enrolling in Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs; and some of the courses taken at Sinnott School have been accepted as credits toward their degree. Sinnott School’s main philosophy is P.M.A. (Positive Mental Attitude). We believe that with a positive attitude and the skills we provide, you will succeed! Our graduates are a testimony of this belief. |
